10 Strategy lessons from Miami Ad School
Hallos,
It’s official.
I hold a digital diploma from Miami Ad School Toronto - the Social Media and Content Strategy Bootcamp.
The certificate came in the mail yesterday 😀
Stil
Still buzzing from this.
To celebrate this, I’ll be sharing 10 social strategy lessons I learned in class with you
The best marketing campaigns challenge an obvious truth or uncover clarity and truths we barely discuss.
Your campaign goals define your platforms/channels.
Track social trends not to chase them, especially if they aren’t a brand fit – but to understand the bigger picture in which you operate.
Build your content calendar around your brand goals, not trends or culture.
View your social insights through the lens of your audience. That’s how you validate if it’s an unmet need.
No feelings without data, no data without feelings.
Advertising is an act of suspending your ego and bias.
Content is always viewed within a context. It is never viewed in a vacuum.
Customer interviews are useful when you get specific answers or anecdotes.
Digital is a signal booster for real-life brand moments.

All the best folks. And please share with any of your friends/colleagues who might find this useful 🙏🏾
My biggest takeaway this week 🚀
Here’s a funny thing about books.
You can read them and think and study all you want.
But unless you are out doing something and making things happen it won't help you at all.
What I’m thinking about?
Hard decisions become harder, not easier, with time.
Thanks for reading this far. I am grateful!
Stay safe & sane,
Dozie
